Sistem UPS Litium Ion

Uninterruptible power that switches over before the lights notice — lithium ion, by design

Lithium ion UPS systems built on LiFePO4 cells for data centers, telecom sites, rail transit and industrial facilities. One lithium ion battery backup platform, four times the cycle life of lead-acid, a fraction of the footprint.

Why lithium

Six reasons facility teams are moving off lead-acid

A lithium ion battery UPS trades bulky VRLA strings for a compact, LiFePO4-based battery backup with a materially longer service life. Here’s what changes when you switch.

4,000+

Longer service life

VRLA batteries are typically good for 300–500 cycles. A lithium ion UPS battery is rated well past 4,000 cycles, which stretches replacement intervals and cuts maintenance visits.

-70%

Smaller footprint

Lithium battery cabinets take up to 70% less floor space than the equivalent VRLA string, freeing rack and floor space for compute or production equipment.

-70%

Lighter to install

Up to 70% lighter than lead-acid, so a lithium ion uninterruptible power supply can go on upper floors with far less structural reinforcement.

100-150

Wh/kg energy density

Versus 30-50 Wh/kg for lead-acid. More usable energy in the same or a smaller cabinet, which is what makes the size and weight gains possible.

3-10×

Faster charge and discharge

Lithium chemistry tolerates a much higher charge and discharge rate, so a lithium ups battery recovers full readiness far sooner after an outage.

-50%

Lower total cost

Fewer battery replacements and less maintenance labor over the system’s life can bring total cost of ownership down by up to half versus VRLA.

Chemistry

Built around LiFePO4, not generic lithium ion

When people search for a “lithium ups” they’re usually picturing a swap-in battery cabinet, but the chemistry underneath matters as much as the form factor. Our lithium ion battery UPS platform uses lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) cells specifically because they hold up under sustained charge/discharge cycling and run cooler than other lithium chemistries under load.

That combination — thermal stability plus a wide operating window — is why a lithium ion uninterruptible power supply can sit in an unconditioned electrical room without the dedicated HVAC a VRLA string usually needs.

Three ways to deploy lithium ion battery backup

From a full modular UPS system to a drop-in rack-mount battery pack, sized to whatever’s already in the electrical room.

Modular · Li-ion battery

Lithium ion UPS

A complete lithium ups system built around LiFePO4 modules. Scales in hot-swappable power blocks, so capacity grows with the load instead of requiring a forklift upgrade.

High power · Li-ion battery

High power lithium battery system

A high energy-density pack tuned for fast, stable charge and discharge under demanding loads — the option teams reach for when the lithium ion battery backup has to cover a heavy, spiky draw.

Questions

Lithium Ion UPS FAQ

What makes a lithium ion UPS different from a standard UPS?

The power electronics work the same way — the difference is the battery. A lithium ion UPS swaps the VRLA (lead-acid) string for a LiFePO4 battery pack, which is what unlocks the longer cycle life, smaller footprint and faster recharge.

Can I retrofit an existing UPS with a lithium ion battery backup?

In many cases, yes. A rack-mount lithium battery pack can pair with a compatible existing UPS or DC power system, provided the charging profile and BMS communication are supported. Check compatibility against your current setup before ordering.

How long does a lithium UPS battery actually last?

Lithium ion UPS batteries are commonly rated past 4,000 charge/discharge cycles, compared with roughly 300–500 for VRLA. Actual service life depends on operating temperature, depth of discharge, load profile and charging conditions.

Is a lithium ion battery UPS safe to run without dedicated cooling?

LiFePO4 cells are selected for their thermal stability and long cycle life. Cooling requirements depend on the battery system, installation environment and manufacturer’s specified operating temperature range. Always follow the system’s installation and thermal-management requirements.

Are there shipping restrictions on lithium ion battery backup units?

Lithium ion batteries are regulated for transportation and may be subject to dangerous-goods requirements depending on the battery configuration and mode of transport. Shipping documentation, packaging and applicable transport regulations should be confirmed with the supplier before shipment.
